What the LEDs mean
Modern openers have two photo-eye sensors near the floor. One emits a beam, the other receives it. If the receiver loses sight of the beam, it blinks and the door refuses to close.
The fix
- Clear leaves, spider webs, and trash bins from the beam path
- Wipe both lenses with a microfiber cloth
- Loosen the wing nut on the blinking sensor and tilt until the LED goes solid
- Tighten the wing nut without re-bumping the sensor
